A legend, reimagined. This project was unveiled August 2021 by Waves and Wheels at LOTO Shoot Out On The Strip street party. Scalp Hunter—was transformed through a joint effort between Justin Wagner’s team at Waves and Wheels and Maryland Offshore Performance. Together, they executed a ground-up restoration which brought this iconic offshore V-bottom back to life. From a complete one-off custom design and electronics by Waves and Wheels to structural, mechanical, and rigging expertise from Maryland Offshore, every inch of this boat reflects elite craftsmanship and obsessive attention to detail.
Powered by twin 900hp EFI custom built engines coupled to Mercury Racing #6 drives, Scalp Hunter is more than just a showpiece—she’s a performer. The boat made its post-restoration debut at the 2021 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout street party, where it quickly turned heads with its stunning “Copper” paint and unmistakable Apache presence. "Bad Girl" is a meticulously refurbished 2000 Cigarette 42' Tiger, boasting a stunning exterior and high-performance upgrades. Every aspect of the boat has been carefully attended to during its extensive four-year redo completed in 2019, leaving no detail untouched and no expense spared.
Powering this beautiful boat are 509 ci Chevrolet Big Blocks equipped with Whipple 4.0-liter superchargers, delivering exhilarating performance on the water. The power is efficiently transmitted through IMCO SCX outdrives and transom assemblies, augmented by Latham full hydraulic steering for precise control all updated in 2019. The inclusion of MDC drive sync ensures seamless operation.
Notably, the bottom of "Bad Girl" has been meticulously blueprinted by Mark Schnepf at Rage Powerboats and then coated with Awlgrip paint, offering both durability and aesthetic appeal. The custom design from the hard chine up by Chris Dilling at Graphic EFX and Maryland Offshore Performance adds a unique flair and is protected by ceramic coating from Proform Auto & Marine for enhanced protection and longevity. This boat is the cover boat for Xpel Fusion Marine in their Worldwide Advertising program.
The interior of the boat is equally impressive, featuring an updated cockpit as well as cuddy cabin upholstery with embroidered logos, all crafted for comfort and style. State-of-the-art LED lights illuminate the cockpit and cabin, while updated autometer gauges and a Garmin 9000 series GPS with stereo interface provide modern functionality. With its current setup, "Bad Girl" achieves impressive speeds in the mid to upper 90s, with the potential for further optimization through prop adjustments and testing. Notably, the boat holds the prestigious title of winner in V-Factory class of the 2008 Don Aronow Miami to Bimini and back race, further showcasing its performance capabilities and pedigree.
As a USCG Coast Guard documented boat, "Bad Girl" offers both performance and peace of mind, backed by the signatures of all employees of Cigarette on the front bow—a testament to its heritage and craftsmanship.

Andy Imhof and Mitch Kramer worked together to build Maryland Offshore Performance into a thriving business.
The owner of Maryland Offshore Performance, Andy Imhof, and his general manager Mitch Kramer have been cranking out boat restoration jobs and updates at a record pace, piling up frequent flyer miles faster than a political candidate during a campaign year.
The duo has been finishing projects in Lake of the Ozarks, the central Missouri lake that is fast becoming the heart of the high-performance boating world. The company may be based in Rockville, Md., but Imhof and Kramer travel wherever they need to go to get a job done.
The list of boats that have gone through the facility is impressive with names like Skater, Outerlimits, Marine Technologies Inc., Black Thunder, Cigarette Racing Team and more. The first project that Imhof had Kramer tackle was a 36’ Apache. Kramer re-did the interior, including the dash panels, the stereo, lighting and more, bringing it all up to date. A customer from California bought the boat and installed Paul Pfaff Racing engines.
